14,000 Ikea Staff Members In China Get a Paid Leave Because of Coronavirus

One of the biggest furniture manufacturers originating from Sweden has decided to close all their stores in China because of the deadly outbreak of Coronavirus in the country.

The company has issued a notice which is effective from January 30, to close the stores until the situation is under control.

Previously the stores were closed in Wuhan which was the origin of the deadly virus.

The request for the closure of the stone was made by the staff member who wanted to ‘stay at home’. The request was accepted and employees were granted paid leaves.

The death toll of the virus rose to 170  and 7700 cases have been confirmed.
