Asia’s garment industry is seeing drastic changes because of the lockdown. Hundreds of thousand workers are left unemployed as textile industries have closed down in the country.
Many high-street lines have cancelled their orders. This has led to no retailer payments, factories sealed, job losses leading all to poverty. The countries affected the most will be Bangladesh, Myanmar and Cambodia.
Asia has become a hub for manufacturing garments to major continents like Europe, the US and richer Asian nations with $670 billion worth of clothes, shoes and bags annually.
