57 Deaths, 1502 Fresh Cases Of Coronavirus Today

Another day in the pandemic, another update from the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). As per their latest statistics, the deadly coronavirus took the lives of 57 more people in the last twenty-four hours.

The NCOC stats also show that a total of 1,502 fresh covid-19 patients were reported in Pakistan. With the inclusion of the fresh cases, the overall active cases of coronavirus are around 30,225.

The covid-19 positivity rate is at 4.01% today, according to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).

After the inclusion of fresh death cases of coronavirus, the nationwide death toll has reached 12,185 on Thursday.

On the other hand, as per the latest reports, 1,732 covid-19 patients recovered successfully yesterday, however, 1,760 cases are in critical condition in hospitals across Pakistan.

The data from NCOC shows that the total case reported of coronavirus in Pakistan is currently at 559,093. From these cases, 516,683 patients have recovered.

In a day, overall 37,452 samples were taken across the nation, and during the whole period of pandemic over 8,325,543 Covid-19 tests were done.

Former minister and JUI-F leader Alamzeb Khan passed away yesterday due to the virus. He was critically ill for a few days and was admitted to hospital in Islamabad.

The nation is undergoing phase 1 of the Covid-19 vaccination drive, under which health professionals and other high-risk officials are getting vaccinated across Pakistan.

As per the latest statistics, the reported cases in Islamabad were 42279, Punjab was 162391, Sindh was 252296, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was 68972, Balochistan was 18898, Azad Jammu and Kashmir were 9334, Gilgit & Baltistan were 4923.
