Coronavirus: CJP Takes Notice on Lack of Facilities in Hospitals.

Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Gulzar Ahmed takes Sou Moto notice over coronavirus pandemic and lack of facilities in hospitals. However, the Supreme Court has issued notices to Attorney General and Secretary Health and Interior in this regard.

“If concrete measures are not taken pertaining to security, more and more diseases may land in the country. Look at the worst conditions at the quarantine facilities,”

Furthermore, a bench consisting of five members led by CJP himself will commence the hearing in this matter on, April 13th.

The members of the bench include Justice Umar Atta Bandial, Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Mandukhel, Justice Sajjad Ali Shah and Justice Qazi Mohammad Amin.

On April 06, raising questions about steps taken by the government to tackle the coronavirus situation, CJP remarked that no practical measures were being taken.
