In order to prevent the outspread of coronavirus, Pakistan is doing everything. In the same regard, Pakistan obtained a ‘Digital Rapid Test Kits. Reportedly, a Pakistani medical company, Innovative Healthcare Systems (IHS), in collaboration with a company in Finland, has obtained this kit.
Moreso, the health experts says that this testing kit could be a game changer, as this kit will enable Pakistan to enhance rapid testing and enable digital diagnostic data. However, the kit will be rolled out in the market after getting approval from provincial and federal government.
Noticeably, Pakistan has conducted 42,000 tests so far as the total number of confirmed cases rise to 4,601. Now, the focus is to accelerate the testing to accommodate more and more patients in short time.
Three steps to do the Test!
1. Take a test — Nurse or doctor performs the diagnostic test
2. Read the test — Scanned in a mobile phone using IDA application
3. Store result — IDA Secure Cloud checks the result immediately for diagnosis.
Furthermore, test kit works in the same way blood sugar is tested by using a pinprick on patients’ thumbs. You can get results within minutes using this kit. After the test, The health care professional can obtain the data (complete with patient information and GPS location) is from the IDA (immediate diagnostics and analytics) secure cloud. However, data transfer is an automated process. The experts then accordingly guide the person on the ground.
“It it’s negative, no action is required. If it’s positive, guide them to the treatment services. If there’s some error, we test again,” says Dr. Azam.
These new digital testing kits enable faster, convenient, precise and cost-effective diagnostics combining mobile technology and cloud computing. More so, it reduces both human error and technology gaps. However, its digital process saves time, as well as, there is the less human interaction which prevents the spread of the virus and is a great attraction.
