Facebook has updated its policies regarding the ads on the outbreak of coronavirus. To put a stop on misinformation that is being spread becoming a reason for creating fear among the masses.
All such ads that mention the cure and preventions of the virus and attempt to “create a sense of urgency” about it will be ban by this social media platform.
Like any other social site, panic has been observed within the masses because of the outbreak of coronavirus. Misleading content is shared over social media that is creating more fear and hustle. To avoid the spread of false information, Facebook is using fact-checker to check dubious claims and subsequently suppress them in its newsfeed, and in late January announced it was taking the additional step of outright removing false information about the outbreak “that have been flagged by leading global health organizations and local health authorities that could cause harm to people who believe them.”
