It was informed to the parliamentary panel on Monday that PayPal and other such platforms for online payments will be introduced in Pakistan. It means that freelancers will be able to withdraw and receive money from their international clients.

The Ministry of Science and Technology secretary said, “The policy related to PayPal is at the advanced stage and important development is expected in the next two weeks”. It was also identified in the session that in order to boost the trade of the country, such online payment methods are significant.

Almost all the countries in the world including India have access to PayPal. Pakistan, on the other hand, did not have that access because of the unidentified reservations by the company. Preceding governments have also tried to convince the significant officials to start PayPal services in Pakistan. Policies are being advanced by the government for this purpose.

More so, the illegal appointments and promotions were an important part of the discussion.
