NUST Develops Three Times Cheaper COVID19 Kits Than The Foreign Kits

A group of scientists at NUST-Attaur Rahman School of Applied Biosciences (ASAB) successfully developed a Molecular Diagnostic Assays to detect coronavirus. The kits are established in collaboration with the Wuhan Institute of Virology China, DZIF Germany, Columbia University USA and Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) Rawalpindi.

The team comprises Associate Professor Dr. Aneela Javed and Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Zohaib from NUST ASAB, who have been working on the establishment of these assays for diagnosis of the pandemic the country is bracing itself for. 

Amidst the pandemic coronavirus outbreak, doctors and researchers all across the world are doing everything to prevent the further spread of the disease. These kits established by the NUST team will soon be available at the prices three times lower prices.
