Punjab Education Department Launched E-Transfer Posting System
Special Education Department Punjab on Tuesday launched an E-transfer system in the department.
The E-transfer policy system ceremony was inaugurated by Minister for Special Education Department Ch Muhammad Ikhlaq at the launching ceremony held at Special Education Department and regarded as one of the important measures towards digital governance.
The officials who were part of the ceremony included Punjab Minister for Higher Education Raja Yassir Humayun Sarfraz, DG Special Education Department Pervaiz Iqbal Butt, Secretary Special Education Department Muhammad Hassan Iqbal, department directors, and other senior officers.
While asking the vision of the chief minister about digitalization, Ch Ikhlaq stated that under the chief minister's leadership, every sector started e-governance, and e-transfer policy would facilitate the teachers.
The requests for the transfer of the teachers will be tackled each year during summer vacation according to the schedule informed by the SED Punjab, and there would be post-specific as well as merit-based criteria for every vacant post, the minister said.
“This step will lead towards convenience, transparency, and most importantly merit. It will also help in eliminating the culture of corruption, favouritism, and discrimination,” he added.
He further said that this system will allow teachers to apply online to be considered for the posting on a merit basis. Once approved, they would receive their orders in their email, and these were revolutionary steps.
While discussing the efficiency of the e-transfer posting system, Ch Muhammad Ikhlaq elaborated that it would benefit around 9,353 teachers, professionals, and other staff of the special education department.
The minister also appreciated the role and efforts of PITB and the special education department in making the e-transfer posting system a success.
