SHC Replaces Thumb Impression with Face Recognition System.

Sindh High court directs employees to use face recognition instead of thumb impressions in order to mark the attendance. The step has been taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The high court has also directed staff to keep the windows and ventilators of courtrooms and offices open and to carry out “proper fumigation” of the premises. In addition, only people whose attendance is required by the court would be allowed to enter the courtrooms.

The SHC registrar has also written to provincial secretaries of health and home ministries to ensure that jails across Sindh are fumigated and sterilized.
