All Educational Institutions to Reopen from August 15: Association

Pakistan private schools association announces in Monday reopening of all private educational institutions from August 15. The association rejects federal government’s earlier decision of reopening educational institutions in September.

In a press conference on Monday, the association chairperson said that the schools can no longer bear their expenses. He added, if they remained closed for more they are liked to get closed down.

Furthermore, he says that students and teachers are already suffering alot because of closure of schools for past six to eight months.

However, the association assures that all SOPs will be followed at the school premises.

Coronavirus is on a decline in the country and its finally time to reopen schools, the chairperson added.

Moreoover, the APPSCA president, Hidayat Khan, says that the virus has slowed down and that cases are also on a decline.

He added that the association had tried to negotiate with the government but they did not listen. “If the government tries to stop us, we will organise a ‘million march’,” Khan warned. He further criticised the federal government, calling it incompetent.

Noticeably, earlier the federal government announced that they will open educational institutions on trial basis in September. Furthermore, that provinces have the authority to close institutions which fail to observe government protocol.
