Sindh Government has allocated a total of Rs3.87 billion out of the spending Rs1241.12 billion which is 0.31 percent of the province’s total budget.
The progress report presented in the Supreme Court regarding the present coronavirus crisis. Chief Justice will head the bench which is to take up the case tomorrow.
This grand purchase will include new vehicles of Rs293.790 for Board of Revenue, Rs134 million for the agriculture department, Rs293.790 million for vehicles for the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and judges Rs134 million for the agriculture department, Rs69.181 million for the health department, and Rs632.256 million for 27 other government departments.
However, it was also reported that the government of Sindh has allocated Rs 9.26 billion in the last three years and spent Rs 795.6 million during the period. This year the Sindh government has decided to invest Rs3.87 billion for buying new vehicles.
The details also revealed that Rs28.98 billion or 18.76 percent of the budget for the health department, Rs18.70 billion for water supply and sewerage schemes, and Rs21.18 billion have been allocated for education, that is 13.6 percent of the total budget outlay.
More so, Rs 1.9 million was imposed on pharmacies selling drugs at higher prices.
