Pakistan Motor Company Limited has increased prices of its new Cultus variant because of few subsequent technological alterations.
The Japenese car assembler has sent a notice to its dealers on Thursday that the two models will have an increment of Rs10,000. The price of the Cultus VXL model from Rs1.855 million to Rs1.865 million and Cultus AGS variant from Rs1.975 million to Rs1.985 million.
This price hike is because of the new infotainment system introduced in the variants.
Prices of both models have been inflated by Rs10,000 which the company attributed to the introduction of an infotainment system in the said variants.
Amir Shaffi, Pak Suzuki Marketing and Sales Department Functional Head ” We, at Pak Suzuki, always focus on bringing product augmentation to meet the ever-increasing expectation of the customers,” He further added, “To continue this philosophy, we are delighted to introduce Suzuki Cultus with a new upgraded infotainment system.”
The new alternations include USB, radio, screen monitoring option, Bluetooth, auxiliary, and eight-inch display.”
One of the anonymous sources revealed, ” In China, this is a common technology found in cars priced far below than the mentioned rates” He further added, ” These car companies are not innovating. In fact, they are selling decades-old variants in the country.”
The company did not raise the price of the Cultus previously when it was increasing the price of other cars in November 2019. Other car manufacturers have also hiked the prices of their variants.
