Ra’ad II, Pakistan’s Newest Missile Successful Flight Haunts India

Pakistan’s Air Force recent development has triggered a wave of fear in India since the missile is advanced enough to combat potential threats.

The strengthening and investment in their military forces prove that the conflict in both countries has not settled down. On Tuesday, Pakistan conducted the test flight of the Ra’ad II, the newest missile which was successful. This missile has an extended range of   600 km as reported by The News.

This range can cause tension between India and Pakistan which is already troubled because of the Kashmir issue. The Ra’ad missile can be launched in Pakistan and can hit critical targets in India.

It can easily target New Delhi since it is almost 430 kilometers from Lahore putting it as a risk for target since Raad II has a range of 600 km.

According to Senior fellow at the Centre for International Strategic Studies in Islamabad Mansoor Ahmed, Pakistan is boosting its military capabilities to keep up with Indian Nirbhay missile. New variations of Nirbhay missile and its test flight escalate tension in Pakistan and India.

Both countries almost ran into war because of Kashmir. Tensions resulted in an Indian fighter jet being shot down. This jet entered the Pakistan air space without permission. However, Pakistan played a great role in diffusing the tension by returning the pilot of the jet fighter back to India.

However, India so far has not taken any steps to sough out the issue.
