The government of Balochistan waived many provincial taxes worth Rs.1.484 billion in the attempt of enabling the citizens to fight the COVID-19 lockdown. This was reported via a press release issued by the provincial government.
These taxes will be exempted till June 30, 2020. The long list of taxes includes construction, transport and hotel sector. More so, the government has approved deferring the Balochistan Infrastructure Development System.
In order to further minimize the effect of coronavirus on business activities, motor vehicle tax and duty on electricity have also been exempted.
In an attempt to improve the precautionary measures to be taken by the province to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the government is going to continue funding.
