Citizens Take K-Electric To Court For Excessive Powercuts & Billing

Citizens of Karachi have taken K-electric to court because of the unannounced load-shedding and overbilling. K-electric is the sole power distributor in the city and the complaint against it has been taken to the Sindh High Court.

Justice Khadim Hussain Sheikh will be leading a two-judge bench of the high court and will hear the petition of the citizens against the electric city power distributor. The plea for urgent hearing against the power outages and excessive billing.

This included details regarding the time of load shedding in various areas which was about more than 12 hours amid such hot weather.

Many have gone sick because of the load shedding problem. The citizens have requested K-electric not to cut the power unannounced and take action against the excessive billing.
