Construction Of First Hindu Temple Starts In Islamabad

The first Hindu temple is being constructed in Islamabad, the federal capital of Pakistan.

This temple will be located in H-9/2 in Islamabad for which a commencement ceremony was held on Tuesday. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Parliamentary Secretary on Human Rights Lal Chand Malhi did the groundbreaking ceremony.

A 20,000 square feet has been allotted to Hindu Panchayat in the year 2017 as directed by the National Commission for Human Rights.

However, the construction was delayed because of certain formalities which included approval of the site map and other important documents by the authorities.

The temple has been named Shri Krishna Mandir which will have a cremation site and a separate portion for the rituals.
