Eliminator 2 Of PSL 7- Lahore Qalandars v Islamabad United

Islamabad united successfully managed to knock Zalmis out of the tournament, in the last match, played at Gaddafi yesterday. This was the first eliminator, after which either of the two teams would qualify for the second eliminator, which is today on the 25^th of February 2022. Today, we will see the two teams against each other, set to either return or qualify.

Speaking of Lahore Qalandars, they have been an extremely competitive team, with their exceptionally talented skipper Shaheen Afridi and of course Fakhar Zaman, upon which we have seen the team depending too much. This in itself is a drawback, since the batting line, in general, seems to be falling off, and their dependency upon Fakhar’s bat seems to be increasing which should not be ideally done. Their rank is definitely speaking for itself, but given that Islamabad seems determined- it’s crucial that Qalandars pull their socks up for the win they are aiming for.

As for Islamabad United, they have given a tough time to the Zalmis yesterday and a great deal is expected of them tonight as well. The come back of Shadab Khan has proven to be lucky for the team along with other players but the real question that arises is whether this apparently smart batting line will be strong enough to deal with the tricky bowlers of Lahore Qalandars; we know by now that their bowling line speaks for itself. Earlier, Islamabad United had lost both its games against the Qalandars so today a fiery game is being looked forward to. This is because this is literally a do-or-die situation for the players in red and orange; since the momentum definitely happens to be on their side, however, one can genuinely expect tables turning at any point given that the fully charged up boys in green are being played against.
