Nike ends the scheme of selling its products via amazon. The athletic brand has decided that it will no longer sell it sneaker and apparel directly on Amazon’s website. Both the companies has entered into an agreement back in 2017. Right after the announcement of agreement the competitors lost one billion dollars. A Nike’s representative said in one of his statements that:

“As part of Nike’s focus on elevating consumer experiences through more direct, personal relationships, we have made the decision to complete our current pilot with Amazon Retail,” the company said in a statement. “We will continue to invest in strong, distinctive partnerships for Nike with other retailers and platforms to seamlessly serve our consumers globally.”

According to the reports, reason of ending the pilot program is resignation of Nike’s CEO Mark Parker and hiring of new CEO John Donahoe, former Ebay Inc. Chief Executive. Another reason is major overhaul of Nike’s retail strategy.
