The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet had approved the launch of Ehsaas Emergency Cash program’s second phase and it will be initiated soon, she stated in a statement.
According to the program, 12,000 rupees financial assistance would be provided to every 4 million additional families, PM assistant elaborated.
While discussing fake messages being circulated with the name of ‘Ehsaas’, Sania said Ehsaas has not begun any online resource for Ehsaas registration so far.
Federal Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin had approved phase two of the Ehsas Kifalat program on May. 26 increasing the number of recipients to 8 million to receive Rs12,000 in cash aid.
The session urged over a recent survey by the government which got information about 4 million more families below the poverty line who are in dire need of financial assistance for their survival.
As per phase two of the Kifalat program, the beneficiaries will be distributed Rs12,000 for six months, from January to June.

The new addition of beneficiaries from the survey will cost the kitty Rs48 billion in phase two of the program.
