As the number of Covid-19 cases is surging in the country, the number of oxygen concentrators are falling short. The number of cases in the world right now is close to 10 million now as marked by the World Health Organization.

Many countries are now experiencing difficulties obtaining oxygen concentrators,” WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus revealed. “Demand is currently outstripping supply.”

This has created a shortage of oxygen concentrators which is needed to support the COVID-19 patients who have trouble breathing.

WHO has purchased 14,000 oxygen concentrators from manufacturers and plants which will be sent to 120 countries. These are worth $100 million.
