Pakistani Female Army Officer Awarded By UN

First female officer of Pakistani Army, Major Samia Rehman has been awarded Secretary-General (SRSG) certificate of the year. This award has been given to her because of her exceptional performance in Mission Level Studies, in-depth analysis and her achievements in the line of duty.

On the behalf of SRSG, Major-General Thierry Lion awarded Major Samia Rehman the certificate.

Late Naik Muhammad Naeem Raza, was honored a UN medal regarding peacekeeping honors. Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi accepted the award on his behalf.

The soldier was martyred in the Democratic Republic of Congo in UN Organisation Stabilization Mission. Lodhi said that she was humbled and honored. She added, “Their sacrifices are a testimony to Pakistan’s commitment to upholding international peace and security.”
