Pakistan Stock Exchange Building Attack Claims 10 Lives

Four gunmen attacked Pakistan Stock Exchange killing two guards, a policeman, and wounding seven people in the building.

Te attack started with assassins launching a grenade at the main gate. However, the police have reported that they were luckily not able to make it to the trading floor.

Locked rooms were used as a refuge and many were evacuated. Security forces are still searching the area.

Baloch Liberation Army has accepted that they attacked the building.

The response of the rangers was lauded by many including the Sindh Minister, Murad Ali Shah. He has asked the security and law agencies to stay alert and has asked for a detailed report.

A number of ten fatalities have been reported so far.

Pm Imran Khan strongly condemned the attack.

ML-N president Shehbaz Sharif also tweeted: “Strongly condemn the terrorist attack on Pakistan Stock Exchange. Swift & timely action by law enforcement agencies saved nation from a bigger tragedy. The attack, however, must alert us. Our condolences to bereaved families of martyrs & prayers for speedy recovery of the injured.”
