Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, on Tuesday, announced economic relief package. Under the package, the government has cut down petroleum product prices by Rs. 15 to provide relief to people in this time of crisis.

The federal finance ministry issued a notification informing about the reduction in prices states that after the cost reduction petrol will be available for Rs96.58 per litre. High diesel will cost Rs107.25, while light diesel prices will be Rs62.51 per litre.

According to the federal finance ministry, the reduction in petroleum products will have a revenue impact of Rs 70 billion. However, the reduction in prices is for 3 months would be effective from March 25, 2020.
