Pakistan International Airlines has finally scheduled flights to evacuate Umrah pilgrims who were left in Saudia Arabia. There will be 22 flights scheduled for the return of Umrah pilgrims in Jeddah and Madina.
The seating capacity is of 7900 passengers against the booking of 5000 Umrah pilgrims.
The pilgrims will be flown to special flights to Karachi through 3 special flights, Lahore via 13 flights and Islamabad flights through 5 flights.
Saudi authorities have already surrendered all the flight operations from March 15 since there was a coronavirus threat. However, according to the newest notice issued by the Saudi government, Pakistan is allowed to schedule new flights for bringing back the Umrah pilgrims.
Saudia Arab has suspended Umrah, closed cinemas and schools nationwide, canceling conferences and sporting events.
