The Holy City of Makkah is being prepared for the limited number of pilgrims who are allowed to attend the religious rituals of Hajj 2020 amid COVID-19.
The Hajj season will start on 22nd July 2020. The ceremony of changing the Ghilaf-e-Kaaba (Kiswah) would be held on the 9th day of Zil Hajj.
The Kiswah will be raised there meters above and the uncovered part will be covered with 2-meter cloth of Ehram.
It is important to mention here that the government of Saudia Arab has allowed a limited number of pilgrims in the Kaaba.
“The health ministry has accumulated experience in the service of pilgrims, and thus has enough human and technical capacities to serve pilgrims and preserve their health,” he said. The holy sites will have integrated hospitals for emergencies during Hajj.
