AP has reported that the tourism industry has been taking measures in order to resume the activities. Last year was the best year as the numbers reported were set record for the travel.
Since COVID-19 has hit many countries hard, the tourism activities have taken a pause and according to Tourism Economics, a data and consulting firm, it will resume to normal by 2023. More so, tourists will have to travel under certain restrictions which will include social distancing and other precautionary measures because of COVID-19.
“It takes time to shake fear from the hearts of people, not to mention the economy,” said the founder of Egypt Knight Tours, Mahmoud Hadhoud. He further added that he does not expect people to come to Egypt by September 2020.
Big hotels like Hilton, Airbnb, and Mariott are going through the advanced cleaning process. More so, many countries are promoting different destinations of the country, for example, AP reported: ” Egypt, Hadhoud is removing cruises and hot air balloon rides from his packages and replacing them with tours of Egypt’s vast western deserts, where travelers can keep their distance from one another.”
Hotels are making changes in their hospitality activities as they will be promoting the use of phones so that people distatnt themselves from each other. Amusement parks like Universal Studio in Florida is trying to devise to maintain a distance in the ride.
Many business owners believers that people are interested to travel this year too.
