189 Oxygenated Beds Granted To Hospitals Across Punjab

Federal Government as provided 189 oxygenated beds in PIMS Poly Clinic and CDA healthcare facilities according to the promise it made on Thursday.

Capital Development Authority (CDA) Hospital has also been given 59 beds. This hospital had 24 oxygenated beds. Now the healthcare will be boosted since there are now 83 beds with 21 ventilators.

Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) has been given 20 oxygenated beds.

The authorities have been directed by PM Imran Khan to take all the measures in order to contain the spread of the disease. He was briefed on the smart lockdown and the measures which are being taken on June 22 in a meeting.

The availability of beds was one of the major clauses of that meeting.

The meeting also reviewed the availability of beds for COVID-19 patients in the country including those equipped with oxygen.

While briefing, Chairman NDMA Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal informed that a total of 2,150 more beds would be granted to healthcare in the country to treat COVID-19 patients.
