NAB Rawalpindi Office arrested Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Ahsan Iqbal on Monday in the multi-billion-rupee case relating to the controversial Sports City Project in Narowal. He appeared to record his statement in anti-corruption watchdog’s Rawalpindi chapter’s office.
After the medical assessment, Mr. Iqbal will be presented in an accountability court tomorrow where he will be asked for physical remand. Whereas, he had gotten summon orders on Sunday.
Iqbal is accused of starting the project worth Rs3 billion illegally. The Pakistan Sports Board (PCB) is also accused of illegally using its authority for the construction of this project.
