In the recent crackdown of Chinese government on youth addiction to online gaming, China has imposed curfew on gaming time and limits the online gaming time for children. Also earlier this week, government has calls for games producers to modify the game content, functions or rules to avoid causing addiction in young players.
According to the new rule kids below the age of 18 years are only allowed to play online games in day times for Ninety Minutes however online gaming is strictly restricted between 10 pm to 8 am. More so, in order to signup gamer would be required to use their real names and other registration details like WeChat and ID card number.
China is one of the biggest game markets in the world, but because of increasing health issues due to gaming addiction among children, China has imposed different rules and regulations over the past few years. In Last year, Beijing has issued certain regulations on the number of games children could play online as well as rules were imposed in order to reduce screen time of minor players.
The gaming group had already has launched a real-name identification system for “Honour of Kings” to enforce playtime restrictions on youths.
