India has asked China not to get involved in the Kashmir dispute at the United Nation security council saying it was something between Pakistan and India.
On China asking a review of Kashmir’s mission from the UN observer in the UN security council, the government of India issued a statement.
Regarding the issue, India’s External Affairs Ministry spokesman Raveesh Kumar said, ” China should reflect on a global consensus on Kashmir and avoid raising it at the United Nations.”
Many members which include 15 countries have requested Pakistan and India to resolve the matters between themselves.
China’s UN ambassador has predicted that tension will arise between both countries. China wants them to settle the matter through dialogue. For this purpose, the Security Council is being called by Beijing.
India has discussed the matter with China.
This recent conflict between both countries rose when the Hindu nationalist government ended the semi-autonomous status of Kashmir, on August 5.
