Iran Attacks US Bases in Iraq As a Retaliation To Soleimani Death

Iran attacked the United States troops with missiles in the early hours today, in response to Qassem Soleimani’s death. His death has given birth to chances of war in the Middle East.

More than a dozen missiles have been fired from territory of Iran against two Iraqi military bases. This attack targetted US-led coalition personnel at 1:30 am as reported by the US military.

Highlights:

The US so far according to the tweet of President Donald Trump, US is not aware of any casualties. More so, Trump is going to make a statement tomorrow.

According to Iranian officials, the attack was a response of Soleimani’s killing with US drone attack. Iran state TV reported that 80 “American terrorists” have been killed in the attack.

Pentagon spokesman Jonathan Hoffman has announced that they will take measurements in order to protect US personnel., partners and allies in the region.

On the other hand, the Iranian official has announced that they will avenge the death of Soleimani. General Hossein Salami, the head of Iran Revolutionary Guards, said, “We will take revenge, hard and definitive revenge.” He made this announcement to throngs who crowded the streets for Solemani’s funeral.

13 scenarios have been chosen for avenging the death and all of them are going to be a nightmare for America according to Ali Shamkhani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.
