At the federal cabinet meeting, held on Tuesday, Prime Minister Imran Khan described that Indian Prime Minister Modi, the anti-Pakistan narrative had failed to sell to the US President. US President appreciated Pakistan’s efforts against terrorism during his trip to India. His recognition was considered as a diplomatic win for Islamabad.
More so, during a media briefing of the cabinet meeting, Information Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan said that “National Education Plan 2020” has been approved by the cabinet. According to the plan, the uniform curriculum is going to be introduced across the country and in the madrassas. The new syllabus for up to class 5 has been prepared and the syllabus for class 6 to 8 will be ready in march 2021.
Further, she added that the cabinet was informed that 22 million children are out-of-school in the country and the literacy rate was 62%. They introduced frameworks for enrolling children that were out-of-school.
