Youm-e-Dua Being Observed Today
Youm-e-dua being observed today, as the nation seeks Allah’s protection from a novel coronavirus that is hitting the country hard again.
President Dr.Arif Alvi announced the Youm-e-dua after meeting the group of Ulemas in Islamabad yesterday.
President expressed his belief saying that we can tackle the second wave of Covid-19 by working on a strategy based on the combination of prayers and safety measures.
He appealed to the public to strictly follow the SOPs for their safety. He said we worked on the balance of lives and livelihood and succeeded in saving our people and economy.
President also stressed the role of Ulemas in raising awareness about the importance of safety measures and informed that all of them have agreed to cooperate with the government.

Ulemas have reaffirmed the SOPs for congregational prayers in mosques issued back in April. President Alvi also informed the media about the stance of Ulemas on the political gathering. He said that they are of the view that politicians should cooperate in the fight against pandemic and avoid public gatherings.
