On Friday, in a meeting of the Scientific Committee of the National Astronomical Observation Commission held in Islamabad, it was decided to set up a first ever space museum. The Museum will be built in Islamabad.
Fawad Hussain Chaudhary chaired the meeting, members of the committee were present in the meeting. The Minister of Science and technology annpunced that the museum will be established within eight months.

Furthermore, the commission also decided to set up five astronomical observatories in Pakistan. At the first phase, the observatories will be established in Islamabad and Gwadar.
Noticeably, the country already have two PIA Planetariums in both Karachi and Islamabad that give a virtual tour of the outer space. This space museum is going to be a step further.
