The tour consists of 3ODI’s and Five T20I’s. Today, both teams were supposed to play 1st ODI in Rawalpindi stadium. But neither team left their hotel on the morning of the game, and spectators were not allowed to enter the stadium.
Details regarding the delay were still unknown. The statement issued by the New Zealand team is that "Following an escalation in the New Zealand Government threat levels for Pakistan, and advice from NZC security advisors on the ground, it has been decided the Blackcaps will not continue with the tour".
The New Zealand team members are now preparing to leave Pakistan.

According to NZC chief executive, David White said that “I understand this will be a blow for the PCB, who has been a wonderful host. But Players safety is our priority ant this is the only possible solution.”
The Pakistan Cricket Board also stated that the government of Pakistan had made a “foolproof security system.”
