Virat Kholi announced his decision on Twitter, he said that he will be Captain in one day international (ODI) and Test Series and as well as a player in T20 matches.
He also said that I have been fortunate enough to represent the India Cricket team on a national and international level. I have given everything to the team during my time as a captain and I will continue to do so for the T20 team in the future.
He thanked the support staff, the team's selection committee, coaches, and "every Indian who prayed for us to win" for their support during his time as captain.

He said he take this decision after discussing it with close people, Ravi and Rohit who have always been there for support and have been an essential part of the leadership team.
As a Captain, he represented India for almost 5-6 years. Now he needs space to be fully ready for the Test series and One Day International.
