The relevant authorities have been directed by Prime Minister Imran Khan to make an effort to save the education which is suffering dramatically amid coronavirus pandemic. He has asked them to come up with a strategy to restore academic activities in the country.
“Formulate a joint strategy in collaboration with the provincial education ministers regarding the future teaching process,” the prime minister said.
More so, the uniform curriculum plan and its implementation were also discussed. Though federal and provincial governments have started the online classes, the results are not satisfactory enough.
Radio Pakistan is also being used for educational purposes. A portal e-Taleem is also to be launched.
Regarding the economic problems faced by the educational problems, PM has directed the authorities to work out a plan so that the educational institutes resume their action.

The meeting was attended, among others, by Shafqat Mahmood, the Minister for Professional Education and Training, Information Minister Shibli Faraz, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Asim Saleem Bajwa, Punjab Higher Education Minister Raja Yasir Humayun and Higher Education Commission Chairman Tariq Binouri.
