Prime Minister Encourages Huawei To Move Their Manufacturing Units to Pakistan

Pakistan recommends Chinese telecom giant Huawei to move their manufacturing units to Pakistan since the country offers cheap labor.

Huawei Supervisory Board Chairman Li Ji led the delegation in order to discuss important matters with Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Prime Minister while encouraging the telecom giant to relocate its manufacturing units highlighted the opportunities and incentives being offered to foreign investors looking forward to starting their projects in Pakistan. He also admired the youth of Pakistan in the delegation identifying Pakistani youth as competent.

Imran Khan invited the Chinese IT giant by backing the new e-commerce policy. He requested them to use the young minds in Pakistan which have a lot of potentials, especially in technical fields.  He also wanted to include IT ministry who launched the Digital Pakistan campaign.

The collaboration with NUST and GIK students was mentioned in the context of providing import substitution and advancement in the technical operation. The chairman of Huawei was impressed by the capabilities of Pakistani students.

Huawei officials also mentioned their recent development of a new ecosystem which prevents the dependence on companies trying to create a monopoly in the field. The official also admired the improvement made in the country especially in the network domain.
