The Punjab government is reconsidering to impose a strict two week lockdown as there is a radical hike in the cases of coronavirus.
The final approval will be given by Prime Minister Imran Khan after he consults National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
The shops which sell basic necessities like grocery and medicines will remain open only if they follow standard operating procedures. However, other shops will be closed.
The death rate according to PM has increased and the country is likely to see the virus peak in July. The federal authorities were aware of the expected before lifting the strict lockdown earlier.
