Remittances From Overseas Pakistanis Increase By $2 Bn For Consecutive Months

Prime Minister Imran Khan has revealed to the nation that the remittances of the country have increased to $2.3 billion in September. This increment has been recorded above $2 billion for four consecutive years.

This information was revealed by Imram Khan via his Twitter handle.

This increment is 31% higher than the last September and 9% in August this year.

Overseas Pakistanis have sent remittances worth $2,768 million in July this year, the highest ever level of remittances in a single month in Pakistan.

The State Bank (SBP) has reported that the remittances showed a recorded increase of $740mn (or 36.5pc) over last July and an increase of $302mn (or 12.2pc) over June 2020.
