Around 48 Doctors in Punjab Resign over Health Minister’s Ignorance!

Considering the ignorant attitude of health minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, Fourty Eight doctors in Punjab have put their resignation. The doctors in Punjab said that the Health ministry does not pay heed to their concerns and problemss.

“Doctors are not being given the sense of security they deserve and it’s a chaotic situation. This is why doctors of Punjab have to leave their jobs,” the president Young Doctors Associations said.

Fourteen of these doctors belong to Lahore’s Mayo Hospital, seven from Jinnah Hospital, six from Children Hospital, three from General Hospital and four from DG Khan Hospital.

Reportedly, the resignations of 48 doctors across Punjab have been accepted by the provincial government, according to a notification of Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education (SHCME) Department.

The young doctors association claimed that they have been complaining about their security issues inside the hospital, as well as, they were not provided with PPEs during this pandemic. They say that government is not paying any attention to their problems.
