Bad News For Freelancers: PayPal Not Coming To Pakistan

Government official has revealed that PayPal is not coming to Pakistan any time soon.

Urdu News reported that a delegation from Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology visited the United States last month to persuade the international online payment platform to introduce their business to Pakistan.

The company has declined the offer explaining that Pakistan is not in their three-year road map as the firm does not see any opportunities which can prosper the business.

The senior official of the National Institute of Technology Board, Sabahat Ali Shah told Urdu News that the delegation was hopeful that they can facilitate those who work abroad and as freelancers in the process of transferring money.  

However, there are still many opportunities since PayPal reviews its road map every year and Pakistan might have a chance of bringing PayPal to Pakistan.

The news of PayPal in Pakistan went viral when Asad Umer announced it in last February.
