KfW,PPAF, and AKRSP Partnered and Inaugurated a 306KW Hydro Power Plant in Chitral

Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund Along with Agha Khan Rural Support Program joined hands with German Development bank and has inaugurated a Hydro Power Plant in Gazeen, Chitral. Nevertheless, the project of installing 306 KW hydra power plant is another effective advance towards improvement. This plant is one of the PPAF’s four hydro power stations recently commissioned for communities in remote territories of KP. The Hydro Power plant will provide sustainable energy resource to hundreds of households. To be progressively explicit, the installed plant will benefit 335 households and is expected to effect positively 5 villages recorded down:

• Gazeen.

• Kurkun.

• Dubargar.

• Unawich.

• Skermud.

The project is funded by Federal Republic of Germany through the German Development Bank (KfW) whereas Agha Khan Rural Support Program is the implementing partner.

While talking about the project, the federal minister of for energy said it was Prime Minister Khan’s idea to fully exploit the energy resources for the uplift of the citizens. Additionally, the Federal Minister thanked the donors of the project. He said the it will help provide electricity to the citizens at discounted rates.

He valued the administrations and endeavors being made by the AKRSP in Chitral and Gilgit for the welfare of individuals.

Afterward, the nation executive of FW Wolfgang Molar said that the hydro power venture was an endowment of the German individuals to the delightful valley of Chitral.
