Milk retailers in Karachi have taken the dairy farmers to court for selling the milk at an inflated price which is RS 120.
The petition has been forwarded in the Sindh High Court (SHC) stating that Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shelwani should notify to sell the milk at a price of Rs94 per liter.
It also stated that dairy farmers are selling milk to milk sellers at Rs106-107 per liter due to which the market price of fresh milk is Rs 110 with Rs 3 profit of the milk sellers.

Recently, it was announced that the price of the milk will be increased by Rs 10 against the official retail rates fixed by the government.
Dairy and Cattle Farmers Association Pakistan President Shakir Umar Gujjar said that per liter price of milk in Karachi will be raised by Rs10 from July 11.
