The world’s richest man and Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk tweeted on Thursday, said “thinking about” quitting his jobs.

Without explaining further, he just tweeted,

“Thinking of quitting my jobs and becoming an influencer full-time wdyt(what do you think)”

It was not much clear if Elon Musk actually wants to quit her major and the most impactful jobs or is he making fun of online influencers.

He is the founder of many innovative organizations including Neuralink, SpaceX, and The Boring Company. During a conference back in January, he mentioned that he expects to be the CEO of SpaceX for many years.

“It would be nice to have a bit more free time on my hands as opposed to just working day and night, from when I wake up to when I go to sleep seven days a week. Pretty intense.”

Last month, he asked on Twitter whether he should sell 10% of his stake in an electric car maker, to which the majority agreed. He has sold shares worth nearly 12 billion USD since.

But the recent tweet says more “influencers are lame” than “I want to be an influencer”. From the very beginning of his life, he has been doing the work beyond his years. He currently has the most impactful jobs that would one day decide the future of humanity. And he has accomplished it most innovatively.

To a man with such a work ethic, why does suddenly becoming an influencer make more sense? Is he actually considering becoming one or is he just mocking this community as those people just need an online presence to be endorsed by brands and are sent free products to try out?
