First Muslim Pakistani Man Awarded A Top Position In New York Police Department.

Naseer Saleem bags the honor of becoming the first Muslim as well as first-ever South Asian Pakistani to head NewYork Police Department Virtual force. Mr. Saleem is a Pakistani born American Citizen. He was awarded the rank in a simple ceremony where a number of NYPD officials were present. Captain Adeel Rana and Lt. Zaigham Abbas, fellow Pakistani-American police officers pinned badged into his uniform.

He completed his graduation from Karachi University and started serving in 1991. Now, after 28 years he has been promoted as Auxiliary Deputy Chief. His seniors and colleagues congratulate him on getting the honor.

After the oath-taking ceremony, Mr. Saleem expressed his immense pleasure saying “It’s a great honor … I am speechless” He said he dedicated this honor to his motherland Pakistan.
