On the directions of PM Imran Khan, the relevant authorities are to accept driving licenses issued in other countries. The directives given are to implemented at the earliest hours very seriously.
The reason for taking such an initiative was the requests made by the expatriates on Prime Minister’s Portal which was devised to cater to the needs of citizens.
Islamabad Traffic Police has also issued a notice which directs all the traffic police officers to accept driving licenses by other countries. More so, the drivers with valid foreign driving license will not be fined.
This would help the expatriates who are visiting the country for a short period of time and have to face inconvenience. In order to acquire a license, they had to wait for 40 days.
