Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has issued registration letters to finally import and manufacture remdesivir which is helpful in treating critically serious patients.
The approvals are issued to two importers and 14 local manufacturers as the demand for the drug has increased due to the rising coronavirus cases in the country.
The spokesperson informed that the drug has been approved to ensure early availability.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Health Dr. Zafar Mirza that the government wants the hospitals to have remdesivir for critical Covid-19 patients.

Previously Dr. Mirza reported that there is enough stock of Deamathasone available in the market which will be provided on prescription.
