According to reports, on Thursday evening, an Indian Navy trainer aircraft, MiG-29K crashed into the Arabian sea.

Indian Navy said in a statement, “One pilot rescued, and searching for the second pilot is in progress, with the help of airforce and Indian army units. An interrogating team has ordered to investigate the incident.”

Including this incident of MiG-29K aircraft, it's the fourth crash in recent times. In February this year, a MiG-29K aircraft had crashed in Goa, which was on routine training. The pilot of the plane was able to escape from the aircraft on time.

In 2019, a two-seater MiG-29K aircraft had crashed due to a bird hit after taking off from Goa naval airbase. However, both of the pilots of the aircraft had escaped securely.

In January 2018, a MiG-29K had crashed as it diverted off the runway at the Indian naval air station Hansa airbase in Goa. The pilot ejected safely.
